US crude oil inventories unexpectedly rise in the week ended 12 May 2023

Energy Information Administration has reported that, in the week ended 12 May 2023, crude oil inventories advanced 5.04 million barrels in US, compared to market expectations of a fall of 1.30 million barrels. In the previous week, crude oil inventories had risen 2.95 million barrels.
